PPHI- Sindh Public health Department latest job
PPHI’s journey started from District Kashmore in 2007 and gradually expanded to 22 districts of Sindh. This responsibility was first handed over to the organization through Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in 2007 under an MoU with the Government of Sindh (GoS). In 2013, the organization was registered with SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan).
The objective of establishing the organization was to revitalize health services in rural Sindh. The immediate goal was to ensure that health facilities, handed over to PPHI, are fully functional, providing health services to all persons within their reach. A dedicated and competent management team was deployed which embarked with full vigour to achieve this objective. Within a short time, health facilities had regular attendance of doctors and staff as well as continuous medical supplies were ensured.
Owing to PPHl Sindh's efforts, health indicators, especially infant and maternal mortality have consistently improved. PPHI Sindh has focused on mother and child health and has continuously improved delivery coverage all over Sindh. It has set up round the clock maternity home facilities.
Today, 1,174 health facilities in 22 districts are managed by PPHI which are the main healthcare providers in rural Sindh. Many have labour rooms and ultrasound machines. Female doctors and PPHI trained midwives are available even in remote areas. Medicines and lab tests are provided free of cost for all patients.
